Fulton area residents have a new choice for eyecare and eyewear with the opening of IEC - International Eyecare Center. Located at 1877 N. Bluff St in Fulton, IEC is a full-scope, primary eyecare practice, providing comprehensive eye examinations, contact lenses, eyewear and sunglasses. Ophthalmology services, including cataract surgery, are also available.
"The office really is state of the art, and has the bonus of being accessible to the community at large," says Optometrist Dr Katherine Osborn. "I look forward to providing the latest technology to our patients as we emphasize patient care and personal service."
Dr. Osborn received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 2006. She completed her residency at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Columbia, MO. Dr. Osborn's training emphasized primary eyecare, as well as specialization in treatment of eye conditions (such as glaucoma) and systemic diseases that affect the eye (such as diabetes).
"We are proud of our modern optical dispensary and great eyewear selection," says Darryl Meister, certified optician. "We think our patients will truly be impressed with our facility". Meister is one of three support staff working with Dr Osborn.
International Eyecare Center was established in Quincy Illinois in 1981, and has been recognized as one of the leading private optical practices in the Midwest. IEC has six additional locations throughout Missouri and Illinois, including Mexico, MO which opened in 2006.
